Tis the season for fall sports! With the start of September, and the school year, we would like to put the spotlight on the school’s Soccer team.

Starting with Boys Varsity. They are currently 3-1, with commanding wins over Pottsgrove, Upper Perkiomen and Pope John Paul. The team is led by Dylan Castillo in goal, Seniors Johnny Salamy, Colin Ginsburg, Yaseen Elarbi, Zeev Magid-Slav, Frank Dalton, Ike Hajdak, Eric Moore, and Coach Dodds. The Vikings also have a very tenacious group of Juniors with Trevor Looby, Nick Lindelow, Justin Schloth, and Robert Bowe. The team has supplemented this nucleus with a strong core of young players, like Sophomores Carlos Garcia and Sam Tepe, to pair with the older players. Their latest win against Interboro saw Johnny Salamy, Carlos Garcia, Sam Tepe, Chris Cortitas and Colin Ginsburg score,  with a saved penalty kick from Andrew Brownlie, in a dominating 6-1 win from the Vikings.

Boys Junior Varsity is also 3-1, with wins over the same teams. Led by Seniors Stefanos Dimitriadis and Anzar Anwar, Andrew Brownlie in Goal and Coach Brian O’Neill. They are accompanied by Juniors Josh Reinhardt, Grayson Kelts, Seth Stumpfrock, Andrew Valette, Noah Solomon, and Joey Meere. JV’s latest win against Interboro saw a spectacular goal from Stefanos Dimitriadis, his first of the season, and spectacular saves in net from Andrew Brownlie to pull out a 1-0 win over the out of conference foe.

Girls Varsity is currently 1-3 with an opening win over Chichester. The girls are led by Jordyn Skidds and Meredith Faw in Goal, and Seniors Quinn O’Malley, Karli Friend, Emily Adams, Andrea Davis, Kelly Burns, Mikayla Yatsko, Maria Lattanze, Heaven Melendez, Coach Larkin, and Coach Kushner. The Vikings also have other key players with Riley O’Malley, Nani Jones, Olivia Barr, Kaleigh Myers, Sophia Lamesta, Izzy Legendre, and Riley Eaton. In their opening win, Sophia Lamesta scored 2 goals off the penalty line in their out of conference win over Chichester HS.

Girls Junior Varsity is currently 2-1, kicking off with with a decimating 8-0 win over Interboro. They are led by Emma Siegrest and Maria Monteal in goal with Brittany Glauner and Sarah Lattanze as Captains, and Coach Sal. JV is definitely the youngest team on this list, with no Juniors or Seniors present on the team. The team’s strong core of young players shows us that varsity will be in good hands in years to come. Their latest win came in an 8-0 blowout win over Interboro, with too many goal scorers to even count, and great team ball.

Soccer is definitely a great choice for any student that is looking to play a fall sport. To sign up see Coach Dodds, Coach Larkin, or Coach Kushner.
