As we reach the months of November and December, it is incredible to think about how many new shows have come out in the midst of a pandemic! These new shows include Squid Game, Night Teeth, An Astrological Guide for Broken Hearts, Only Murderers in the Building, Chucky, Colin in Black and White, 4400, American Crime Story, The Time it Takes, and more. Shows with new seasons that came out are You, Home Economics, Legacies, Locke & Key, Dynasty, Riverdale, Shameless, In the Dark, On My Block, Wentworth, Roswell, Supergirl, Baking Impossible, and many, many more.

A show I’m personally interested in is Dynasty. You can watch this show on Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV, Vudu, or Amazon Prime Video. People such as Elizabeth Gillies (who you might remember as Jade from Victorious), Robert Christopher Riley, Maddison Brown, Sharon Laurence, and many more great actors and actresses star in this show. Dynasty is a reboot of a TV show by Esther and Richard Shapiro. The show, originally created in 1981 and ending in 1989, tells a story of two families, the Carringtons and the Colbys, who constantly fight for control over their money and children. I like this show because it’s filled with a little bit of every genre, including drama, romance, thrill, and a splash of comedy. If you like even one of these genres, I HIGHLY recommend this show!

Another show that a lot of people have been watching lately is Squid Game, which only took four days to reach the number one most-watched show slot worldwide. The show was created by Hwang Dong-Hyuk and was first released on September 17th, 2020. The plot of the show is about a group of people that are all in debt for different reasons — they all compete in random children’s games to win an absurd amount of money … but with a deadly twist (cue the dun dun dunnnn!). I like how this show doesn’t just have a single group of main characters, but rather every character has their own part in the show (versus simply having background characters that do nothing for the plot of the show). People that acted in this show include HoYeon Jung, Gong Yoo, Wi Ha-Joon, O Yeong-Su, Kim Joo-Ryeong, and many others. Here are a couple fun facts about this show: The doll from the first game of this show actually exists, and the phone number belongs to a real person.
Enjoy watching Dynasty, Squid Games, and more this winter!
