All You Need to Know About the 2022 Emmys

On September 12th, 2022, another prestigious and long-awaited award ceremony took place to end the 2022 award season.  The 2022 Emmy Awards celebrated the beloved actors, actresses, and TV shows that most people during the Covid-19 Pandemic leaned on and on this night they got the recognition they deserve for their talent.

After two consecutive ceremonies shaped largely by the pandemic, the Primetime Emmys returned to what felt more or less like a pre-Covid format on Monday night. On this night, many awards were given out as well as many reunions and bits took place. Selena Gomez, Martin Short, Steve Martin, from the popular comedic Hulu show Only Murders In the Building, provided the audience with a short skit while presenting an award, and while they did not win any awards, they did win the hearts of many people.

Kenan and Kel also had a small reunion as well as the entire cast of Bob’s Burgers and The Brady Bunch. Selma Blair received an award and brought awareness to her MS disease. Shows like the White Lotus, Succession, and Ted Lasso won big at this year’s Emmys, as well as Zendaya who nabbed a win for Euphoria

Kenan Thompson hosted the Emmys live from NBC and while the program typically takes place on a Sunday evening, the festivities this year took place on a Monday night (to make way for an NFL game). While many tuned in to watch and many actors and actresses won awards, this Emmys came to a successful conclusion for many deserved recipients.
