More New Albums In 2022

Music is the language of the soul; it has the ability to connect people. Whether it’s by language, genre, or the meaning behind the song, music is a form of art that interconnects us.

Sour By Olivia Rodrigo

Whether she writes about heartbreak, recent breakups, or driving along the highway, it seems we cannot get enough of Olivia Rodrigo. She had a best selling album that hit the #1 charts multiple times and it seems her album Sour is climbing the charts once again with her new Disney+ movie Driving Home 2 U, a Sour film, which delves into Rodrigo’s memories of writing and recording her songs. The eleven-track album’s artist has won many child actress and singer awards, and she has number one singles in several countries. The question now lies, is Olivia Rodrigo the artist of generation Z, or is she just another singer singing about heartbreak and the highway?

30 By Adele

Who doesn’t love Adele?! Not only is she a household name, but everybody knows her music, whether they’re a die-hard fan or not. Adele’s new album 30 is spectacular as it not only relates to our current generation, but also older generations who feel they might not be able to relate to any other musical artists (“the kids know nowadays,” they often say). It’s important to also note that while Adele wrote some new hits recently, she’s also responsible for her beloved older songs including Set Fire to the Rain and Rolling in the Deep. Not only has her album 30 hit the charts in a high place recently, but her albums 21, 25 and 19 have as well.

Montero By Lil Nas X

Lil Nas X has made a splash with his latest album Montero. Lil Nas X openly talks and sings about his pain and pleasure in creative metaphoric ways and is quite frank in his doubts and loneliness as he navigates his way into long-lasting fame. His songs feature popular artists such as Jack Harlow, Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion, and Miley Cyrus, which connects Lil Nas X’s songs to younger generations. His song with Jack Harlow, Industry Baby, hit number 1 multiple times and will lead Lil Nas X to several awards in the near future.

Happier Than Ever By Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas have done it again with another hit album! Happier Than Ever has surpassed the streaming number of 100 hours and her hit song titled Happier Than Ever has hit number one numerous times. This is the second album of Eilish’s that has accomplished this milestone. The album is made up of songs concerning heartbreak, healing, and renewal, and Eilish wrote about focusing on one’s self instead of another, as well as focusing on positivity in dark times.
