2023 SAG Awards Recap

The Screen Actors Guild Awards, occurring annually in February, honors the achievements in film and television performance for the previous year. At 8pm on February 26th, 2023, plenty of phenomenal movie/show performers and creators were rewarded with this prestigious award at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Century City, California. Even though the award ceremony already happened, you can find the ceremony on Netflix’s official YouTube channel. The award ceremony is so prestigious – it is by invitation only and these invites are only extended to nominees and presenters (meaning it has no public citizen audience, unlike the Academy Awards in March 2023). Movies including Everything Everywhere All At Once took home many awards, as did TV shows like Abbott Elementary. Everything Everywhere All at Once won the most awards of the ceremony with four wins, the most for any film in SAG Awards history, with Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan both becoming the first Asian actors to win in individual categories.
