New Shows On Netflix In March 2022

With more than five thousand total shows and movies, Netflix captivates millions of viewers across the globe. It’s content offers a variety of films and television series through distribution deals – as well as its own productions. Nearly every month, Netflix releases new titles to its streaming services – here are just a few new titles being released to the streaming service in the month of March 2022!

Available on March 25th, Bridgerton season two will be added to the new list of entertainment available. Shondaland’s hit period drama returns in March with a second season focused on Lord Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), the eldest of the high-society family’s offspring, who’s searching for his ideal partner. But Anthony’s idea of the perfect bride has little to do with true love, even though his standards remain astronomically high; when he sets his sights on Edwina (Charithra Chandran), her sister Kate (Simone Ashley) does everything she can to nix the ill-fated romance. Get ready for a heated love triangle sure to set fire to a few fancy gowns!

On March 9th, Netflix will release a six-part documentary series on the legendary artist Andy Warhol – The Andy Warhol Diaries paints a portrait of Andy Warhol through his own diary entries (published after his death in 1987). Director Andrew Rossi travels from his childhood in Pittsburgh through artwork that will live forever, featuring interviews from friends and collaborators like John Waters and Rob Lowe. The Andy Warhol Diaries also uses artificial intelligence to recreate Warhol’s voice, allowing the artist to tell his story in his own words (or so proponents claim). This technique was met with controversy last year – we’ll have to wait and see how audiences react to hearing Andy Warhol a year later.

Also available on March 9th, Netflix will release Queer Eye Germany, the very first international spin-off from its reality series following a new group of makeover experts – the ‘Fab 5’– whose job is to turn around the life of a nominated individual. Though having a series in Japan following the same American hosts, Queer Eye Germany is told to have a completely new cast. The German fab five are as follows: Work/life coach Leni Bolt, fashion expert Jan-Henrik Scheper-Stuke, beauty guru David Jakobs, nutrition expert Aljosha Muttardi, and design ace Ayan Yuruk. Originally broadcast on Bravo in 2003, Queer Eye was rebooted with a new group of presenters by Netflix in 2018 and is set to premiere its sixth season later this month.

“It is a cinematic masterpiece!” said Nathan Smith. “Shrek changed my life. Watching it was an eye-opening experience.” — Catherine Lee had stated. “Shrek opened my eyes to a whole new world, showed me a beautiful way of thinking unlike anything else I’ve ever experienced.” — Jenna Xue had excitedly stated.  Taking the world by storm, Shrek (both the first and second movies) will be available to stream on the first day of the month. Shrek is a 2001 American computer-animated comedy film loosely based on the 1990 fairy tale picture book (holding the same name) by William Steig. The film parodies other fairy tale adaptations, primarily aimed at animated Disney films. The story follows Shrek, an ogre who finds his swamp overrun by fairy tale creatures who have been banished by the corrupt Lord Farquaad. Shrek 2 highlights Shrek and Fiona’s travels to the Kingdom of Far Far Away, where Fiona’s parents are King and Queen, to celebrate their marriage. When they arrive, they find they are not as welcome as they thought they would be.

With a variety of others, such as DC’s Legends of Tomorrow season 7 (available March 9th), Karma’s World season 2 (available March 9th), Once Upon a Time… Happily Never After (available March 11th), Netflix continues to uphold its vast array of services. Happy watching and enjoy these intriguing new shows!
